Programming

Pieces Interactive is expanding and we are looking for more programmers of all different experience levels, from junior to lead, to help us take on larger projects within the vast catalogue of THQ Nordic IPs.

Working on our tech team you must be prepared to take on all areas in game programming, so it is important that you are self-motivated and always open to learn new things. In collaboration with designers and artists you will create the best experience for both creating and playing the game.

After trying various areas, and gaining some experience, a member of the tech team get to pick a few they wish to  specialize in. It may be graphics, AI, tools, network or anything else in game programming. Our teach lead will try to structure our projects in a way that let you work in your areas of choice. Later, when you are an expert on the subject, you will guide and train other member on the tech team. If you already have an area of expertise when you join us at pieces, you may pick something else as a specialization if you wish to change the direction of your career.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, debug and iterate on new and existing gameplay systems and technologies.
  • Analyze and fix bugs.
  • Document your work to transfer knowledge.

Requirements

  • Experience with programming in C++

Desired Skills

  • Proven track record in the video games industry
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine.
  • Development experience on game consoles

This position is full time and requires working onsite in our central office in Skövde, Sweden.
